Description: This course utilizes both classroom discussion and real-world simulation exercises to prepare you to perform the variety of tasks needed to work in a medical setting. Emphasis will be placed on customer service; legal and ethical responsibilities; and filing and handling correspondence. Discussions will also focus on making travel arrangements; planning meetings; discussing fees and credit; and performing banking, billing and daily accounting; as well as preparing and processing insurance claims. Computer simulations using Medisoft software will be completed during this course. Must be taken A-F.
