Description:  This course will take a managerial approach to the evaluation and selection of appropriate promotional elements. You will explore topics such as advertising goals, appeals, media evaluation and the advertising agency, leading to the development of a total advertising campaign. Business Internship (BUSN 2306)

Total Credits:  1   Internship/Practicum Credits:  1
Description:  This course provides students an opportunity to gain real-world experience while earning 1 college credit. The knowledge you have gained in your prior business and accounting course work will be applied at a local organization partner site. In the prior semester, you will need to work with Minneapolis College Career Services Office to secure and document your internship. You will work jointly with an assigned instructor and the partner contacts to achieve the course objectives. At the end of semester, you may deliver a final presentation to the partner.
Prerequisites:  BUSN 1140 and Instructor Permission (Please Contact Instructor). An internship must be secured with career services prior to start of course.

Strategic Marketing Capstone (BUSN 2307)

Description:  This course is one of three courses students can choose from to satisfy the capstone or internship requirement all students must complete to graduate with the A.S. in Business Management. You will work with marketing tools (including social media), case study problems, and communication models as well as review marketing and promotion plans to improve your critical thinking, reasoning, marketing, and communication skills. You will demonstrate your proficiency in these concepts and skills through a semester long project. Must be taken A-F.
Prerequisites:  BUSN 2300. It is recommended that students complete BUSN 2300 with a grade of "C" or higher.
