Minneapolis College’s Aircraft Maintenance Technician program will prepare you to perform extensive service, repair and detailed inspections on all types of aircraft while meeting Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards. The program covers the content and provides the required clock hours to prepare you to take the FAA’s Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license exams.

 

PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES

1. Apply appropriate safety work habits and procedures. All courses in this program address this program learning outcome based on Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR)
2. Interpret, describe and apply Federal Aviation Regulations.
3. Successfully pass the required FAA testing required of an Airframe and Power plant Mechanic.
4. Demonstrate the ability to research procedural requirements of Aircraft maintenance.
5. Apply the skills and experience required to perform to acceptable FAA standard practices.
