In the Apparel Technologies program, you will receive extensive hands-on training in design, manufacturing, alteration and fitting by industry-experienced instructors and gain a sense of personal accomplishment. The program is the only one of its kind in the upper Midwest and will teach you to produce finished, professional garments from pattern to final product.
PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES
1. Apply knowledge of clothing design and product development, including considerations for sustainability
2. Safely and effectively operate industrial equipment and following workroom procedures
3. Analyze fit, solve problems, and perform corrective adjustment
4. Orally and visually communicate design processes and concepts
5. Design, manipulate and adjust basic garment patterns
6. Fabricate, construct and finish a series of basic garments
