Accreditation
Minneapolis Community and Technical College (Minneapolis College) is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission, 230 South LaSalle Street, Site 7-500; Chicago, IL 60602-1411; 312-263-0456; http://hlcommission.org.
Minneapolis College is approved by the U.S. Department of Education for participation in federal programs, by the U.S. Department of Immigration for international students, and by the Minnesota State Approving Agency for Veterans’ Educational Benefits. Minneapolis College also offers many programs that have programmatic accreditation, certification, or approval. Please refer to Minneapolis College’s Accreditation web page for details regarding its institutional and programmatic accreditation.
Security and Compliance Reports
State and federal governments require that colleges inform prospective students of various policies and security information. If you wish to receive information about these reports, including the campus security report, crime statistics, procedures for reporting crime and emergencies, campus public safety efforts and programs, drug and alcohol-free schools policy, the discrimination/harassment reporting process, the student code of conduct, notification of student rights under The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), voter registration information, Minneapolis College graduation rates as reported in the Student Right to Know, and the Withdrawing from Classes and Refund Policies, please go to the college website at www.minneapolis.edu. Select the tab titled "Student Services,” then select “Public Safety," then select “Campus Compliance and Security Report.” At any time, you may request a printed copy of these reports by contacting the Public Safety Office at Minneapolis Community and Technical College, 1501 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis, MN 55403 or by calling 612-659-6910.
